Files under Health and Fitness | Posted by admin

This glossary provides definitions of different types of disposable and nondisposable shoe covers, for indoor and outdoor use. Knowing the characteristics of each type of shoe cover enables you to easily find the product that meets your needs and budget.

Disposable Shoe Covers

Disposable shoe covers provide sanitary protection against germs and bacteria. They also help keeping your work area clean. Most disposable shoe covers are made of polypropylene, which is durable, elastic, and breathable. While disposable shoe covers are often used in medical facilities and cleanroom environment, they are also being used by real estate agents, appraisers, inspectors, technicians and homebuilders to keep floors clean from outdoor dirt.

Anti Skid Shoe Covers

Anti skid shoe covers provide enhanced protection when you work on slippery surfaces, such as linoleum or hard floors. The soles of anti skid shoe covers come with an imprinted embossed tread grid which provides improved traction and reduces the chances of accidents in the workplace caused by slipping and falling. Anti skid shoe covers are ideal for use in medical environment, food industry, cleanrooms, real estate and more.

Cleanroom Shoe Covers

Cleanroom shoe covers are sterile and meet sanitation requirements where a high degree of control of contaminants is needed. They are used in medical environment, operating rooms, pharmaceutical facilities and cleanrooms. The fabric from which cleanroom shoe covers are made of is breathable and most often anti-static and non-linting. Cleanroom shoe covers manufacturers also offer a slip-resistant version, which comes with anti-skid bottoms to reduce chances of accidental slippage.
